03 — the board

seven people, one obligation.

Club One is governed by a board built so that no single club or body can direct it. Four members are nominated by the peak bodies, three are independents appointed by those four, and the chair comes from the independents. The board meets monthly.

4

industry nominees

Two from Clubs SA, one from Sport SA, and one from the South Australian National Football League Licensed Club.

3

independents

Appointed by the four nominees. Between them: legal standing, accounting standing, and direct experience of problem gambling.

1

chair, from the independents

So the chair is never a nominee of any one body — the safeguard that keeps Club One independent of the clubs it serves.
